How to extract invoice line items without losing quantity and rate
Line-item extraction makes invoice detail easier to reconcile or categorize. Each row should preserve what was charged, how much was supplied and how the amount is expressed.

How the workflow works.
Keep description, quantity, unit price and line total together. Separate discounts, shipping and tax where the source does so their meaning survives the conversion to rows.
What to check in the result.
Check repeated descriptions and subtotals carefully. A subtotal is not another purchased item, and a line amount should not be treated as a unit price without the source's quantity context.
Import the CSV with a consistent delimiter and inspect text identifiers, dates and amounts before using spreadsheet totals. Keep the original file available while checking any automatic type conversion.
