FROM YOUR PAGE TO YOUR NEXT STEP

Three small steps.

  1. 01

    Get WebAct ready.

Install the Chrome extension and verify your WebAct account. Choose Browser model → ChatGPT and sign in when prompted.

  2. 02

    Bring the right context.

Open the Zendesk ticket and expand the messages needed to understand the bug. Select only the relevant content, including any safe-to-share internal notes. Activate WebAct and choose Task mode.

  3. 03

    Paste. Run. Check.

Review the proposed actions, run the task, then check the output against the source before using it.

Give engineering a bug report they can check.

A support conversation mixes symptoms, troubleshooting suggestions and customer follow-ups. Turn those into separate sections: summary, environment, steps to reproduce, expected behavior, actual behavior and missing information. Keep attempted fixes distinct from confirmed reproduction steps.

Read the draft before pasting it into Jira. Remove customer contact details and other information your engineering team does not need. Required Jira fields vary by project; this Markdown file is a draft description, not an import file or a submitted issue.

What you bring.

Copy this task and paste it into WebAct on your source page.

Zendesk Ticket to Jira Bug ReportTASK
Prepare a Markdown bug-report draft from the selected Zendesk ticket. Use headings Summary, Environment, Steps to reproduce, Expected behavior, Actual behavior, Evidence and Open questions. Distinguish confirmed observations from suggestions. Mark missing fields Not provided. Keep troubleshooting attempts separate from reproduction steps. Omit customer contact details unless I explicitly require them. Keep a source ticket reference if observed. Do not open Jira, create an issue, change ticket fields or read attachments. Work in this one activated tab only, with up to 25 readable records or one short document. Do not modify the source. Stop and explain if the selected content is unreadable or incomplete. Create a MD file named webact-zendesk-to-jira-bug-report.md. Keep the complete file under 48,000 UTF-8 bytes. Report the source coverage and verify the actual download before claiming completion. Ask me for any required settings or source facts that are missing before starting. Start with up to 25 records or one short document. Report exactly which source content was included.

Paste in Task mode with Browser model selected.

Make it yours. Supply your team’s required bug-report headings and any confirmed environment details. State which customer identifiers must be left out of the draft.

A FEW USEFUL DETAILS

Before you start.

The draft preserves the reported symptom and ticket reference without inventing an environment or reproduction sequence.

Chat or Task? Choose your mode
Will this create a Jira issue from Zendesk?

No. WebAct creates a local Markdown draft from the open ticket. You review it and paste the relevant sections into Jira yourself. Use an installed Zendesk–Jira integration or a workflow platform if you need automatic issue creation and status synchronization.

What if the customer never provided reproduction steps?

Keep that section marked Not provided and list the follow-up questions. A troubleshooting suggestion is not evidence that the customer followed those steps. Do not invent a browser version, error code or sequence of actions.

Are screenshots and attachments read?

This recipe uses readable ticket text. Screenshot interpretation, PDF parsing and attachment download are not included. Add a safe text description of relevant attachment evidence if your team needs it.

How should private notes be handled?

Choose only notes you are authorized to share with the AI provider and the destination team. The task asks to omit customer contact details from the draft unless you explicitly require them. Review that omission yourself.

What should I check in the result?

The draft preserves the reported symptom and ticket reference without inventing an environment or reproduction sequence. Creates a Markdown draft for manual review and pasting. It does not open Jira, create an issue, upload attachments or synchronize ticket status. Unknown reproduction steps stay unknown.

Can I use this on the Free plan?

Yes. Install the Chrome extension, verify your WebAct account and use an available ChatGPT browser connection in the same Chrome profile. Free includes 25 user-started automation tasks per calendar month (UTC), shared across all tools. A task counts when its first action starts; steps and necessary retries within that task do not count separately. Provider limits apply. After 25 tasks, upgrade or wait for the reset.

Does this page run the task?

This page provides an illustrative example and a task to copy. Run it through WebAct on the source page you activate. Selected page context is processed by your browser AI provider. An ordinary answer in browser Chat uses no WebAct automation allowance; creating a file or changing fields in Task mode does.
