How to export a web directory without losing record boundaries
Directories repeat similar information across cards or rows, which makes manual copying easy to misalign. An export gives each listed organization or entry its own record with consistent fields.
Start with the right material.
- What you provide
- one loaded directory results page.
- The intended result
- Export visible organization names, categories and profile links without opening profiles.
How the workflow works.
Define which visible entries belong in the selection and name the fields you want. Keep the source URL alongside the entry so someone can revisit an incomplete address or ambiguous category later.
What to check in the result.
Count the selected entries and compare that count with the output. Repeated names may represent separate branches or businesses, so confirm identity before removing apparent duplicates.
Import the CSV with a consistent delimiter and inspect text identifiers, dates and amounts before using spreadsheet totals. Keep the original file available while checking any automatic type conversion.
Learn from the worked example.
The downloadable CSV example uses these columns: Organization, Category, Profile URL. Compare a complete record with the source before sorting, combining or importing your own output.
The supplied example is illustrative. It is not a recorded run on your data.

- Open the source you want to work with and activate WebAct on that tab.
- Copy the task from the hero, add any required fields or preferences, and review the proposed actions.
- Compare the first result with your source. Ask for a specific correction or refinement where needed.
