How to organize contact details found on a website
Public contact details are often scattered across a footer, contact section and business profile. This tool turns the details you supply into a reviewable record for legitimate correspondence or internal administration.
Start with the right material.
- What you provide
- a business contact page the user is allowed to access.
- The intended result
- Extract displayed business name, public email, phone and address; leave absent fields blank.
How the workflow works.
Separate each contact method by type and keep it with the organization or person explicitly identified on the page. A general support address should remain a support address rather than being assigned to a guessed employee.
What to check in the result.
Check spelling, country prefixes and the source location for each value. Leave absent phone numbers or names blank, and use the listed contact method for its stated purpose.
Import the CSV with a consistent delimiter and inspect text identifiers, dates and amounts before using spreadsheet totals. Keep the original file available while checking any automatic type conversion.
Learn from the worked example.
The downloadable CSV example uses these columns: Business, Email, Phone, Address. Compare a complete record with the source before sorting, combining or importing your own output.
The supplied example is illustrative. It is not a recorded run on your data.
