How to organize Salesforce notes into a readable export
A notes export helps retain the context behind account or opportunity work outside the original record view. The record identifier is essential when names are similar or discussions span several entities.
Start with the right material.
- What you provide
- selected readable notes from one Salesforce record.
- The intended result
- Selected readable note content as a file.
How the workflow works.
Capture the supplied notes with available authorship, timing and record references. Preserve each entry's wording and keep missing metadata explicit.
What to check in the result.
Review the source association and audience before using the file. Exported notes remain statements from the record; they are not automatically verified facts or instructions to update another system.
Import the CSV with a consistent delimiter and inspect text identifiers, dates and amounts before using spreadsheet totals. Keep the original file available while checking any automatic type conversion.
Learn from the worked example.
The downloadable CSV example uses these columns: Record, Displayed date, Author, Note. Compare a complete record with the source before sorting, combining or importing your own output.
The supplied example is illustrative. It is not a recorded run on your data.

- Open the source you want to work with and activate WebAct on that tab.
- Copy the task from the hero, add any required fields or preferences, and review the proposed actions.
- Compare the first result with your source. Ask for a specific correction or refinement where needed.
