How to extract structured data for inspection
Structured data describes entities and relationships in a machine-readable form. Extracting the available markup helps a developer or content owner inspect what the page is actually declaring.
Start with the right material.
- What you provide
- current document's JSON-LD script blocks.
- The intended result
- Export parseable JSON-LD and report syntax errors without claiming rich-result eligibility.
How the workflow works.
Preserve the original data structure and identify the source block or format. Keep separate entities distinct and flag syntax that cannot be parsed instead of silently repairing its meaning.
What to check in the result.
Validate the extracted data with the appropriate parser and compare claims with visible content. Finding a schema type does not prove that a rich result is eligible or will appear in search.
Parse the JSON before using it in another application, then inspect its actual values. Valid syntax confirms that a parser can read the structure; it does not confirm that the extracted facts are correct.
Learn from the worked example.
The downloadable example is a JSON object. Compare its structure and missing-value handling with the result you need, then check your own values against the supplied source.
The supplied example is illustrative. It is not a recorded run on your data.

- Open the source you want to work with and activate WebAct on that tab.
- Copy the task from the hero, add any required fields or preferences, and review the proposed actions.
- Compare the first result with your source. Ask for a specific correction or refinement where needed.
