How to triage a selected set of inbox messages
Inbox triage is a way to decide where attention is needed, especially when messages mix requests, information and deadlines. A report makes those distinctions visible without silently changing the inbox.
Start with the right material.
- What you provide
- a small set of opened or fully displayed messages.
- The intended result
- Build a review table of urgency, category and evidence; do not claim unread bodies were read.
How the workflow works.
Choose the messages to review and explain what counts as urgent for your work. Group them by needed action and include a brief reason so you can inspect the classification rather than accept an unexplained rank.
What to check in the result.
Review deadlines and exceptions yourself before acting. The report covers the selected messages and should not claim that unselected mail was checked, archived, answered or safely ignored.
Import the CSV with a consistent delimiter and inspect text identifiers, dates and amounts before using spreadsheet totals. Keep the original file available while checking any automatic type conversion.
Learn from the worked example.
The downloadable CSV example uses these columns: Message, Urgency, Category, Evidence. Compare a complete record with the source before sorting, combining or importing your own output.
The supplied example is illustrative. It is not a recorded run on your data.

- Open the source you want to work with and activate WebAct on that tab.
- Copy the task from the hero, add any required fields or preferences, and review the proposed actions.
- Compare the first result with your source. Ask for a specific correction or refinement where needed.
