How to use the Restaurant Prep List Generator.
A prep list should connect forecast portions to recipe quantities and station responsibilities. Distinguish raw and prepared yields, and follow the kitchen's approved safety and storage procedures.
Make the workflow fit your task.
Start from forecast portions and the prepared quantity needed per serving. Convert to raw purchase or prep amounts using the supplied usable yield, then assign station, timing and completion checks. Keep the kitchen's approved handling and storage procedures attached.

Illustrative input and output · a teaching example, not a live WebAct run
Example input
Forecast is 30 portions; each needs 100 g prepared carrots; usable yield is 75%.
Completed example
Prepared carrots needed: 3 kg. Estimated raw carrots: 3 ÷ 0.75 = 4 kg. Assign the prep station and completion time, and verify yield against the kitchen's actual process.
Load this input into the prompt, then copy it to WebAct to try the task. Your result may differ from the illustration.
Decisions and troubleshooting.
Should raw and prepared ingredient weights be treated as interchangeable?
No. Trimming or cooking can change yield. State which stage each quantity represents and use the relevant conversion.
Why does the prep list run short despite correct portion arithmetic?
The assumed yield or demand may differ from reality. Compare actual yield and forecast changes before adjusting quantities.
Try it with your own source.
Replace the example with your material in the task prompt. Keep the requirements you need, then copy the task into WebAct.
