How to build an internal link inventory for one page
An internal link inventory shows where a page directs readers within the same site. It is useful for navigation reviews, content planning and identifying labels that need a closer look.
Start with the right material.
- What you provide
- current page links inspected with approved read-only code.
- The intended result
- Export same-origin links with anchor text and duplicate counts without crawling the site.
How the workflow works.
Capture destination URLs and anchor text from the selected page. Use a clear definition of the site's internal domain and preserve relevant paths or fragments instead of reducing every link to a homepage.
What to check in the result.
Check duplicate destinations and ambiguous labels in their actual context. The inventory records references; verifying live responses, redirects and site-wide coverage requires additional checks.
Import the CSV with a consistent delimiter and inspect text identifiers, dates and amounts before using spreadsheet totals. Keep the original file available while checking any automatic type conversion.
Learn from the worked example.

- Open the source you want to work with and activate WebAct on that tab.
- Copy the task from the hero, add any required fields or preferences, and review the proposed actions.
- Compare the first result with your source. Ask for a specific correction or refinement where needed.
