How to export a Slack thread as a readable record
A thread export helps keep a selected conversation available for a handoff, reference or later analysis. Message order and attribution are important parts of that record.

Preserve the opening message and readable replies with their supplied references and times. Keep quoted material and line breaks attached to the correct speaker rather than merging them into a single paragraph.

Check that the intended replies were included and mark any unreadable history. The export is a bounded snapshot of supplied context, not an archive of a channel or workspace.
Preview the Markdown to check headings, lists and links as well as the words. Keep source references with the document so a reviewer can trace important statements back to the material you supplied.
