How to compare two versions of a competitor page
A page comparison shows what changed between two supplied snapshots. It can help review positioning, product details or pricing when both versions and their dates are available.
Start with the right material.
- What you provide
- current page text plus an earlier snapshot explicitly supplied by the user.
- The intended result
- Compare supplied snapshots and save added, removed and changed claims; no monitoring.
How the workflow works.
Align corresponding sections and distinguish added, removed and revised content. Preserve the earlier and later wording for changes that affect meaning, terms or numerical values.
What to check in the result.
Check whether differences come from the snapshots' scope or display state. A missing section in one capture does not prove it was removed from the live site, and two snapshots do not provide continuous monitoring.
Preview the Markdown to check headings, lists and links as well as the words. Keep source references with the document so a reviewer can trace important statements back to the material you supplied.
Learn from the worked example.
The downloadable Markdown example shows one possible organization of the result. Read it alongside the source example and notice which statements are recorded facts, proposed wording or questions still needing an answer.
The supplied example is illustrative. It is not a recorded run on your data.

- Open the source you want to work with and activate WebAct on that tab.
- Copy the task from the hero, add any required fields or preferences, and review the proposed actions.
- Compare the first result with your source. Ask for a specific correction or refinement where needed.
