How to capture competitor pricing with its conditions
A pricing-page snapshot helps a team compare offers using the information actually displayed. The useful record includes the conditions behind the headline amount, not just the number.
Start with the right material.
- What you provide
- one publicly accessible pricing page.
- The intended result
- Export stated plan prices, billing periods, caps and footnotes as a point-in-time snapshot.
How the workflow works.
Keep plan names, currencies, billing periods and included allowances together. Separate a monthly equivalent from the amount billed, and record any qualification attached to a displayed price.
What to check in the result.
Check the original page before using the figures in a decision. A selected pricing view may omit taxes, negotiated terms or later checkout charges, and it does not establish a competitor's realized revenue.
Import the CSV with a consistent delimiter and inspect text identifiers, dates and amounts before using spreadsheet totals. Keep the original file available while checking any automatic type conversion.
Learn from the worked example.
The downloadable CSV example uses these columns: Plan, Amount, Currency, Billing period. Compare a complete record with the source before sorting, combining or importing your own output.
