Should a quote assume tax or payment terms when none are supplied?
Leave them unresolved or request them. An apparently complete quote should not invent conditions that affect the customer's obligation.
Why does the quote total differ from the line items?
Check quantity multiplication, discounts, rounding and whether taxes are included or additional. Show the calculation rather than silently changing the total.
