A PRACTICAL GUIDE

How to use the Pantry Recipe Finder.

Pantry recipe suggestions should use confirmed ingredients and distinguish essentials from optional additions. Ask about equipment and time, and never assume stored food is safe based only on its name.

Make the workflow fit your task.

Match confirmed pantry ingredients to a feasible dish using the available equipment and time. Distinguish essential ingredients from optional additions and ask about missing basics. Have the user check ingredient condition and package directions before cooking.

Illustrative input and output · a teaching example, not a live WebAct run

Example input

Two servings. Pantry: 160 g dry pasta, 400 g canned tomatoes, 1 tsp dried herbs; water available. Pot and pan, 25 minutes. No oil supplied. Pasta package cooking time 10 minutes.

Completed example

Tomato-herb pasta
1. Heat water in the pot and cook pasta following its package directions.
2. Meanwhile, put tomatoes and herbs in the pan and simmer gently, stirring, until hot and slightly thickened.
3. Drain pasta and combine with the sauce. Divide into two portions.
No oil is required by this version. The 25-minute target depends on water-heating and equipment speed; check ingredient condition and labels before cooking.

Decisions and troubleshooting.

Should pantry suggestions assume oil, salt and spices are always available?

State those assumptions or make them optional. A recipe intended to use only listed items should respect that boundary.

Why does the suggested dish exceed the available cooking time?

Preparation, water heating or equipment limits may be omitted. Include the whole process in the estimate.

Try it with your own source.

Replace the example with your material in the task prompt. Keep the requirements you need, then copy the task into WebAct.
