RESULT
Question: where do reviewers check changes, and who is responsible for approving them?
Participants: five catalog managers with relevant review experience.
Activity: observe a sample comparison, then ask how approval works in their normal process.
Record: missed changes, expressed uncertainty and handoff responsibilities.
Analysis: compare patterns and preserve contradictory cases.
Decision use: assess whether a separate approval step addresses an observed problem or whether clearer review cues should be explored first.
Limit: exploratory evidence, not a representative failure-rate estimate.

REVIEW
Choose the research method around a decision the team needs to make. A broad desire to understand users is not a sufficient study scope.
