Project Based Learning Planner — illustrative example

INPUT
Plan a two-week classroom project investigating paper waste. Learners can count discarded sheets daily and propose one change. Focus on measurement and interpretation, not guaranteed waste reduction.

RESULT
Days 1–2: agree what counts as discarded paper and record a baseline.
Days 3–4: summarize counts and discuss where waste appears.
Day 5: choose one feasible change and predict its effect.
Days 6–9: apply the approved change and record counts using the same rule.
Day 10: compare the observations, discuss other possible influences and present a recommendation.
Learning evidence: count records, a chart, the reasoning behind the change and each learner's explanation of the result.

REVIEW
A project needs a meaningful problem, manageable milestones and visible learning. The final artifact alone does not show how the learning objective was met.
