Language Learning Progress Planner — illustrative example INPUT Learner can introduce themselves but struggles to arrange appointments. Twenty minutes daily for two weeks. Goal: complete a simple appointment role-play; no proficiency-level promise. RESULT Day 1: attempt an appointment role-play and note problems with dates, requests and clarification. Days 2–5: daily 5 minutes date vocabulary, 5 minutes request phrases, 10 minutes short exchanges. Days 6–7: practice changing an unavailable time and confirming the final details. Days 8–12: vary the dates and repeat exchanges without reading the full script. Day 13: review recurring errors. Day 14: repeat a comparable role-play. Check whether date, time and purpose are confirmed; record confidence separately. REVIEW A language progress plan should use observable tasks and manageable practice. Self-rated confidence and test performance measure different things, so track both without promising a proficiency level by a fixed date. This is a teaching example, not a live execution record.
